Recently, the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality sent a letter of appreciation to the Haijiang Group Emergency Rescue Team. It spoke highly of the team's solid commitment and outstanding contributions to emergency flood response during the persistent heavy rainfall in Beijing from July 9 to 12, and extended sincere respect and heartfelt gratitude to all emergency rescuers for their fine conduct of braving dangers and making full preparations.

From July 9 to 12, Beijing was hit by persistent extreme heavy rainfall featuring intense short-term precipitation, wide coverage and long duration. Multiple hazards emerged across the city, including urban waterlogging, flooding in urban and rural areas, blocked roads and trapped residents. The flood control and rescue situation was severe and complicated, posing a grave threat to people's lives and property. Faced with the sudden flood, the Haijiang Group Emergency Rescue Team resolutely took up its social responsibility for emergency rescue. Responding immediately to the municipal flood emergency dispatch order, the team quickly assembled elite rescuers and entered full standby mode equipped with professional rescue gear.
